Postponed for the time being
Bishop Patrick has told us that baptisms are to be deferred until the bishops’ advisers say it is safe; but naturally, a person in danger of death may be baptised, without a congregation, and with special hygiene precautions.
First Reconciliation, First Communions, and Confirmations are deferred until it is safe.
Bishop Patrick asks that people planning to marry postpone their wedding, but he says that “in case of necessity” vows may be exchanged without a congregation, observing the requirements of civil and church law.
